Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and mobile apps operated by Quortek Technology Solutions ("we," "us," "Quortek"), a local services marketplace connecting customers with registered service-provider companies (electricians, plumbers, AC technicians, builders, and similar trades) in Cyprus.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What the platform is, and isn't

We provide a marketplace that connects Customers who need a service with Companies who provide one. We are not a party to the agreement between a Customer and a Company for the actual work performed. Companies are independent businesses, not our employees, agents, or partners. We don't supervise, control, or guarantee the quality, safety, legality, timeliness, or outcome of any job. Any agreement about price, scope, or timing for the actual work is between the Customer and the Company directly.

We're not liable for the acts or omissions of any Company or Customer, including property damage, personal injury, or failure to complete a job. See Section 9 (Limitation of Liability).

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.
  • You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • Companies may create multiple staff logins under one company account (an owner, admins, and field employees). The company's owner/admin is responsible for the actions taken by every staff account they create, including jobs accepted and completed on the company's behalf. Staff accounts are internal to the company; Customers only ever see "the Company," not which individual staff member is assigned.
  • We may verify a Company's registration/legitimacy before allowing it to accept jobs, and may suspend or reject accounts at our discretion, including for failed verification, suspected fraud, or Terms violations.

3. Posting and accepting jobs

  • Customers post a job (category, description, area/location, optional photo, and a preferred date or "flexible") free of charge. A Customer's contact details stay hidden until a Company pays to accept the job.
  • Companies see jobs matching their registered categories and areas and may accept a job by paying a fee (currently €2 for a standard job, €7 for an Urgent job, shown before you accept) from their prepaid wallet. Accepting reveals the Customer's contact details to that Company.
  • Single-winner model: the first Company to accept a job wins it, and it immediately closes to every other Company. Non-urgent jobs are offered to a rotating group of companies at a time so more than one gets a fair chance to be first; Urgent jobs are offered to every eligible Company in the area at once. Either way, only one Company ever pays the fee or sees the Customer's contact details for a given job.
  • The acceptance fee is non-refundable once a Company accepts a job and the Customer's contact details are revealed: this applies regardless of whether the Customer ultimately chooses that Company, responds, or the job proceeds at all. The fee pays for the introduction/lead, not a guaranteed outcome. See Section 8 for our discretionary refund policy for exceptional cases (e.g. platform error, fraudulent job postings).
  • A Company may internally assign an accepted job to a specific staff employee, or leave it open for any available employee to claim, entirely at the Company's discretion.

4. Wallet and payments

  • Companies maintain a prepaid wallet, topped up in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). We don't store your card details.
  • Job-acceptance fees are automatically deducted from your wallet balance at the time you accept a job. If your balance is insufficient, you can't accept new jobs until you top up.
  • Wallet balances are non-refundable except at our discretion (e.g. to correct a platform error) or as required by applicable law.
  • We may adjust a wallet balance manually (e.g. to issue a goodwill credit or correct an error): any such adjustment will be visible in your transaction history.

5. Completion and ratings

  • A job is only considered complete once both the Customer and the Company mark it complete. Ratings can only be submitted after that.
  • Ratings are double-blind: neither side sees the other's rating until both have submitted theirs.
  • A Company's overall rating and completed-jobs count are public. A Customer's rating on a specific job is private and visible only to the Company that received it.
  • Ratings must reflect genuine experiences. Fake, retaliatory, or abusive ratings may be removed and can result in account suspension.

6. Live location sharing

  • If a Company enables "on my way" location sharing for a specific job, the Customer can see that employee's live location until the employee stops sharing or the job is marked complete. This feature is opt-in per job and is never active by default or in the background.
  • You're responsible for complying with any local laws about using your phone (e.g. while driving) while this feature is active.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or company information.
  • Use the Service to solicit business outside the platform in a way that circumvents our fees (e.g. accepting a job's fee-paying introduction and then routing repeat business off-platform to avoid future fees is discouraged and may violate these Terms if done to evade fees systematically).
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, scrape the Service, or interfere with its normal operation.
  • Use the Service for anything illegal, or in breach of applicable trade licensing requirements in Cyprus.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

8. Refunds and disputes

  • We don't guarantee refunds for job-acceptance fees except where required by law or at our sole discretion (e.g. a demonstrable platform error, or a job posting that violates these Terms and should never have been visible).
  • Disputes about the quality or completion of the underlying work are between the Customer and the Company. We may, but aren't obligated to, assist in resolving disputes (e.g. by reviewing ratings/evidence or adjusting a job's status for moderation purposes).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages arising from the acts of a Customer or Company.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (i.e. wallet fees) in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €100, whichever is greater.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can't be excluded under applicable Cyprus/EU law (e.g. liability for fraud or death/personal injury caused by our negligence).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Service, or the work performed or requested through the Service.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, non-payment, or as required by law. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. limitation of liability, indemnification) will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cyprus, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
