Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar local-storage technologies used on the Quortek website and mobile apps, and how you can control them.
1. What counts as a "cookie" here
On the website, this means actual browser cookies and localStorage. In
the mobile apps, there are no browser cookies, but we use the equivalent,
secure on-device storage, to keep you signed in and remember your
preferences. We treat both the same way in this policy.
2. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Can you disable it? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in (your login session), remembers which role you're using (customer/company/admin), and basic security protections. | No, the Service can't function without these. |
| Functional | Remembers preferences like your last-used location/area, or that you've dismissed a banner. | Yes, but some conveniences will reset each visit. |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how the Service is used (e.g. which pages are visited) so we can improve it. | Yes. |
| Advertising | If we run ad campaigns (e.g. Meta/Facebook and Instagram ads aimed at homeowners), an ad platform's pixel/cookie may be used on our marketing pages to measure and target those campaigns. | Yes, and these are off by default until you actively consent. |
3. Your choices
- On the website, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential categories (Functional, Analytics, Advertising) the first time you visit. You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
- On mobile, the equivalent is the permissions you grant the app (e.g. notification permission, location permission): each is requested separately and explained at the point we ask for it, and you can revoke them any time in your device settings.
- You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary ones will prevent you from logging in.
4. Third-party cookies
If advertising/analytics categories are enabled, the relevant third party (e.g. Meta) may set its own cookies to measure ad performance, subject to their own privacy policy. We don't control these directly; disabling the category above stops us from loading their script in the first place.
5. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the cookies/technologies we use change. Check the "Last updated" date above.
